Sunrise Tree

Sunrise Tree

This sunrise was vivid and utterly captivating.

The tree which overhangs this photo has been chopped down, sadly.  And its deep-rooted remains drilled out mercilessly.  Many birds will be hungry for its masses of nectar-filled blossoms this winter.  And nearby orange trees are likely targets to feed their bellies.

Like a country chopped down in war by enemy weapons, and starving refugees spilling over borders to eat whatever they can find.  Fighting for their lives with every sweet drop of kindness offered.  A peaceful fight, sometimes met with violent opposition.

Red sky in the morning, shepherd’s warning…
